I applied for a position in the HR department in early 2018. A recruiter reached out to me two days later for a screening interview. After a nice conversation, they informed me that there will be a new project starting and they will want t fill the roles quickly. I was contacted the next day to schedule an in person interview for two different positions in the HR department.
The interview was informal and quick. We went over my resume and the interviewer had a few basic questions. They spent some time talking about the benefits of working for BNY. The two positions I was interviewing for were filled by internal candidates, but they had another HR role that was a good fit. The interviewer was going to pass my resume to the hiring manager and try to schedule me for an interview the next week.
I was emailed two days later and was informed they decided to fill the role internally.
