The telephone interview is quite ridiculous. Someone who speaks little English calls from the overseas and asks a myriad of questions. Phone cut out about 9 times, something out of both of our control I suppose, it was both embarrassing and annoying. Thought it would be a bit more personal... but the interviewer just types the answers up awkwardly and probably sends it off to someone else to review. Not sure how this is a good method of recruitment? Interview process is relatively simply, though.

After completing online testing and phone interview, moved onto the engagement centre where a large group of diverse students were interviewed. The group included students from many majors such as law/engineering/occupation therapy etc etc. It was a 2.5 hour session involving a group session and a 'speed dating' interview session where applicant interviewed with 5 bhp employees from all facets of the business. Overall, a great experience. HR staff and interviewers made applicants feel very comfortable. Nothing to be worried about. Great experience.

Submitted the resume online through my university's career system. Was called for an interview within a week, was told about a pre-interview dinner that was being held soon. Attended the pre-interview dinner where I got to meet current engineers working on various projects. Finally, had the interview the next day.
