I recently interviewed with a BDO consultant over the phone and was told I'd receive a response by the end of the next day. Despite sending two follow-up emails and making several phone calls, I was unable to reach anyone. Eventually, I received a three-line email saying after 2 weeks I was not selected, without any explanation. I emailed to ask for feedback but haven't received a response from the person I spoke with. Instead, I received a generic email from BDO stating I was not successful. I am disappointed by the lack of seriousness and professionalism in the interview process. I don't expect to be selected every time, but I do expect a responsive and respectful process. Many professionals are working hard to advance their careers, so it's important not to mislead them. If you're not serious about offering a reasonable interview process, please don't call. Thank you.
