Overall, it was Twilight Zone level, an all too informal Teams interview, one which I would not sport to divulge, however I was appreciative of the cheap entertainment. I do commend the HR team for being transparent enough to tell me they had already enough qualified candidates but were trying to squeeze me in at the end.

It started out quickly--a 30-minute recruiter phone call, a week later was an hour-long hiring manager phone call, and then a week after that was meeting with three other directors, in a three-hour meeting, that I would interact with. I was told a decision would be made in a week, then two weeks, then three. The recruiter was quick to reply at first but they kept pushing their decision date and finally ghosted me. It would be nice to know what I could have improved upon or just a simple "we picked another candidate" after the amount of time invested.
