      Entretien pour IT Support Technician

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Azul Engineering (Washington, DC) en sept. 2021

      Entretien

The interview process was very informal and quick. I was asked if I had the qualifications to perform the work that the position required and without much vetting, I was told I had the job. This was my first red flag. There essentially was no interview. I was just asked if I wanted the job and I was told that I had it. I was given a start date of October 15, and signed an offer letter after negotiating for a good salary. I was told that as a government contractor, they needed to check in with their client to be sure that I was a good fit, but that that process was more of a formality and that after signing my offer letter, I was hired. I was then funneled through a very long and arduous Background check process which took nearly a month. My background check came back clean, and I was ready to start work, albeit a week later. Then I was unceremoniously told that they were going to find another applicant because the client thought I didnt have enough experience. The issue isnt that I wasn't given the job. The issue is that I was told that I was hired, when I was really still interviewing. Whats more they made me go through a a month long onboarding process only to be told at the last minute that I wouldnt be brought on. This, after I had already put in my two weeks notice at my previous place of work at their behest and I had declined other job offers because I had already accepted this one. To avoid this whole situation, they could have checked in with the client to be sure I was a good match before having me go do a month long background check and putting in my two weeks notice. Instead they left this simple and easy step for last and unceremoniously told me I wouldn't be hired. Due to Azul Engineering's callous disregard for my time and livelihood, I would have to recommend that you avoid this employer.
