Misrepresentation of Job Title. Informed during the interview that I would not be considered for Shorex Asst. Manager but only Shorex Staff. This was because: - Company had changed leadership since I was last on board. - "I was off ships for too long" - There were new systems to learn I was shocked to say the least considering my experience in previous management positions on board Azamara 5years prior and extensive skills & experience gained on land in that time. I felt as if my CV was overlooked and disrespected, software can be learnt in the right way with proper training and practice. Yes it was a personal hit, I wasn't pleased. I ended the interview within the first 5minutes as I didn't want to waste my nor the interviewers time. I am happy to inform Azamara I landed a Managers job on board another Luxury Cruise Ship which ironically uses the same software. :D I have enough respect for myself to journey down their path, constantly reaching for the imaginary dangling carrot they hold over Crew. Another cruiseliner just recognized my skillset and experience rather than feeding me BS.
