Recruiter reached out and discussed position with me. Then second interview was with highest level for dept. I thought I was meeting with the actual hiring manager. The head of dept met w me instead, which is NOT the norm. Nonetheless, she was came off rude and did not even explain why she was interviewing me first (vs hiring manager) OR tell me her role! She seemed annoyed when I asked what her role was. She tried to ask me “gotcha” questions on the company, which I did quite a bit of research so was able to answer. But she seemed very cold and only wanting to see what I knew about the company. As soon as interview ended I literally got a rejection letter either that day or very next. Don’t worry; I would not have taken the job anyway! Bad vibe!

This process took a month and included interviews with 4 individuals! And then I got ghosted. I followed up and never received a formal "no thank you." I don't think they know what they want. Very unprofessional. Don't waste people's time.
