J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Avon Protection plc (Melksham, England)
Entretien
The interview process was a face-to-face interview at their UK headquarters in Melksham. Prior to the presentation I was asked to prepare a presentation covering something that I had done in a previous organisation that I was proud of and that had relevance to the position.
During the interview there were four people present - two from HR, a senior manager from the US and a local senior manager.
The interview was best described as unprofessional. One of the HR personnel was late and didn't even take the time to introduce himself. Following this the process can best be described as one that was set out to find gaps and faults in your CV, within your presentation and also about your skills and knowledge. They had nothing really positive to say.
Questions d'entretien [3]
Question 1
I was asked what I would bring to the company within the first 60-90 days. This is a classic interview question, especially if you have read the book 'The first 90 days' by Michael Watkins - which I have .... twice.
The company makes respiratory protection apparatus for law enforcement, first responders and the military. It had come up that I had worked for a company that manufactured chemical products, as such it was part of my role to give advice on PPE protection to users of the product. We did this via our Safety Data Sheets and also via resources on our website.
A question came about concerning what respirator would I recommend and also what other factors should be taken into account,
This is a good question but it was asked in a manner that was condescending and with a view to catch me out.
We are sorry that you came away from our interview feeling like this, this was certainly not our intention. We take great pride in our recruitment process and this is hard to hear. We are, however, grateful for your feedback and will endeavour to take it on-board next time.
