Applied for the role via a recruiter and then secured an interview with the recruiting manager. At the end of the interview, they advised they would be in touch in to let me know the outcome. A week later I received an automatically-generated email from Workday that my application had been unsuccessful.
I politely asked for feedback numerous times and have received radio silence (it’s been two months now). I don’t think an automatic email from Workday is appropriate to let a candidate, who has taken time out of their day to prepare and attend an interview, know they have been unsuccessful (I initially thought this was maybe an oversight/error).
I also believe it’s common courtesy for a company to give some form of feedback if requested (even very high-level eg we need someone with more experience) after an interview and this has been standard practice everywhere I have worked. The process has been really demoralising and it’s potentially quite telling of Aviva culture if this is how they treat applicants.
The worst interview experience I have gone through!
