I recently had the pleasure of interviewing for a Software Developer position with Aviva Insurance, specifically joining their esteemed Pricing Engine Team. The entire process was quite illuminating, showcasing Aviva's commitment to innovation and technological excellence.
The interview atmosphere was professional yet welcoming. The interviewers created an environment where I felt comfortable discussing my experiences and technical prowess. Their enthusiasm for the work being done in the Pricing Engine Team was palpable and added a positive vibe to the conversation.
The technical assessment was well-structured and directly relevant to the role. The questions delved into algorithmic problem-solving and system design, providing a comprehensive view of the team's expectations. It was evident that they value practical problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of software architecture.
Throughout the interview, there was a strong emphasis on collaboration and the team's contribution to Aviva's broader goals. The discussion highlighted a culture of continuous learning and growth, which aligns well with my professional aspirations.
Finally, and I can't emphasize this enough: The communication from the HR team was transparent AND timely. They provided clear information about the interview process, expectations, and the next steps. Any queries I had were addressed promptly, reflecting a commitment to ensuring a smooth candidate experience.
So it was quite positive overall. I don't know where I stand yet but am hoping to progress to further rounds.

Interviewer was nice and professional. Although I was not able to get the job as my experience did not match what the hiring manager was looking for, they did tell me to be on the lookout for junior-level positions which are coming in the near future.
