      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Avibank Manufacturing (North Hollywood, CA) en sept. 2022

      Entretien

I received an email from a recruiter asking if I was legally authorized to work in the US. I responded "Yes" to her right away, and later on she responds asking me for a time where I'm free for a initial interview. Ok... On Sept. 9th,2022 at 9am. I receive a phone call from their Recruiter who tells me she is all the way in Portland, OR. Very nice lady, she asks me about what I did in my previous position and the conversation goes really well. Then, I she proceeds to ask me if the location in Santa Clarita, CA is a good location for me. I tell her of-course it would be perfect. We end the conversation and she tells me she will pass down my information to the Hiring Manager. 3 hours later and tells me she wants to set-up an onsite visit. She tells me she will be emailing the location and time for the onsite, so I thank her and wait for the email. Later on I received the email with to a different location and a totally different company. I emailed the recruiter asking her why the location changed, she proceeds to tell me "this is where the actual job will be". After doing some research I find that Avibank is a sister company to PCC Aerostructures and manufactures fasteners and other products. I still decide to give it a chance and attend the interview... The actual interview location ends up being in North Hollywood and not Santa Clarita. The guy who interviews me tells methey manufacture fasteners and complex components for the aerospace industry and that he started his own company and ended up here for some reason...now he's been with the company for 16 years... He then proceeds to ask me how much experience I have with CNN, and tells me that they need a unicorn. Not really showing any regard for what I have to offer or expression for anything in general, just telling me more about what they do... PS. It seemed to me he was more interested in what benefitted the company. I proceed to do the onsite with another person. He was a mechanical engineer, who had been there for 1 year, nice guy. After about 1 hour walking the facility we walk towards the main lobby, and he tries to get the Interviewer to talk to me, but he wasn't even available. I leave and the on site visit is over.. -
