Aweomse policy: They do not ask you current compensation as it does not matter for them. Sarcasm!
HR gave the call for 1:1 interview with the team. Had 4 rounds and done with 3 technical plus MD round. Then done with CTO and founder rounds. They wanted to give the offer but it was 40% less than my current offer and in the end, they came back with the result that they cannot afford me.
Please start asking the current salary of the candidate, so that you save candidate and your time. Please do not show off that you have the people from Amazon, Nutanix, Juniper etc.. as this does not matter for the good candidate.
A person will join you only if you pay fairly.

Entretien
First round was telephonic. Interviewer was knowledgeable and professional. sent zoom link and asked to write a python program. he asked questions and kept on asking new questions based on answers given. he also asked few networking questions and asked questions based on resume
They called me for onsite interview. had two face to face technical rounds
one was took by the same guy who took telephonic round. his way of interviewing was same and it seemed good to me as he gave answers for questions which i was not able to answer and taught me few things.
Second round was worst. interviewer asked two programs based on api testing and files in python. when i wrote answer and explained, he didn't even bother to listen as he was busy with his laptop. then why the hell did he come as interviewer. he asked linux commands(people expect us to know these as if it is very hard to learn - just checking if candidate has linux experience should do good in my point of view as it not rocket science) and my db experience. he was not happy with my linux and db experience . he told he wanted candidate with good experience in linux and db.(these people didnt even read resume or get it confirmed before calling for onsite interview) and he told me to leave.
personally i felt, interviewing with this company is waste of time as i took a day off and went for onsite. at last, didnt even get the feedback from them.
