Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback on your interview experience at AutoProtect.
We agree that the interview process was an unconventional approach, and one that we have only recently implemented as a pilot within the business. We were mindful that the new recruitment process will come with teething challenges, we felt the extensive experience that the shortlisted candidates had in an interview environment warranted us utilising our new interview process for this vitally important recruitment decision.
Whilst there are always learnings that come from the implementation of a new process, which has been augmented by your valuable feedback, we were satisfied with the outcome of the process, and it has helped us create even further clarity on what we’re looking for in a candidate, and how we can refine the interviewing process for future recruitment decisions.
We also thank you for your feedback on the perception that AutoProtect was looking for a South African candidate for the role. Whilst we can certainly see why you may have come to this conclusion given that all three interviewers were of South African background, the interviewing panel did make it clear that they were looking for a candidate with extensive UK employment law experience, which along with a strong cultural fit, was an absolute priority for this role.
