J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Atlassian en mars 2020
Entretien
I applied online through a recruiter for a contract role.
I got a call with the hiring manager who apparently put in his 2-week notice but did not disclose that I found out through someone that works there.
I had 4 more calls with people that were nice and professional but could not clearly state how the teams worked or the goals for the role, this was a maternity backfill, so it should have been pretty easy.
The feedback I was provided was that I did not have industry experience, but I have developer, SaaS and enterprise experience. Not only does this not make sense, but they don't seem to know what they are doing.
I really respect the products and company so perhaps the Jira team is going through some sort of reorg.

Question 1
Describe how you would GTM for a product in the past

The process was a 1) phone screen, 2) hiring manager interview, 3) 30-min interviews with 3 colleagues, 4) values assessment, and finally, 5) a panel presentation of previous work.
The experience was riddled with red flags. For example, after I inquired, HR told me that this was a net-new role in an exploding area. In the third round, I was told me by someone else that it was a backfill because the previous person did not want to come back from leave.
Another red flag: 90% of the questions were about campaigns. One of three colleagues I was interviewing with was in demand gen (pretty typical for PMM interviews), but I got asked these demgen/campaign questions by all three colleagues.
I really felt like I was being interviewed for a marketing manager role. When preparing for the interviews, I noticed bad practices in their public-facing materials (like typos and misrepresented customer views). I suspect that the reason for this hyper-focus on campaigns interview questions was because of this.

Question 1
If a campaign against a competitor was performing poorly, what would you do to fix it?

The interview process was a lot of work - I came in for the first round and met with four marketers. Then I had to do a lengthy assignment - designing the marketing plan for Atlassian and coming back in to present it to the whole team. Despite all of this work, Atlassian never got back to me with a final yes / no and it has been a month since I interviewed - not professional or respectful of a candidate's time and effort - and what does it say about the work experience you can expect?
