J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Astranis (San Francisco, CA) en mars 2022
Entretien
The whole process was nearly identical to the other Mechanical Engineers' experiences on glassdoor. My process was two rounds on Zoom, 45 minutes a piece. The first round was a brief resume overview where they asked me about experience with a cubesat and moved onto a handful of cantilever beam questions. This place LOVES cantilever beams hahaha-- nearly every technical question was about them, so make sure that you study up their equations :) The second round was a *very* thorough resume overview. We went into a couple projects for nearly the entire interview, dissecting what I did on a technical level. Make sure you understand all of the physical laws essential in the work listed on your resume :) Ultimately, I did not get the job, mostly because I needed more experience. However, they were kind enough to let me know by the next day :) Definitely study up this website because Astranis definitely reuses interview questions haha.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
1)How to reduce column beam deflection.
2)Would a column beam resist more deflection if its ends were pinned or on rollers?
3)Where would a cantilever beam experience the most shear force and moment?
4)What shape would you make the beam out of, and why?
5)What would you want to make these beams out of and why?
Specific to my experience: How do you analyze a satellite camera's vibrations in space? How would you model it? What is the natural frequency of something?
What is the difference between a circuit in parallel and in series?

There was a screening with a recruiter and a technical in-depth interview with a team member. The questions ramp up in difficulty for the technical round and some curveballs on satellite questions. Interviews last 45 minutes.

They are very quick to respond. First interview was with a team member and quickly went over resume and then into technical questions. Next interview was with a team lead where they go more in depth on your resume before asking some technical questions.

Entretien
I was reached out by a recruiter to schedule a 45-minute interview with someone from the team, specifically from whichever specialty you selected in your application. The offer to do an interview came around like 1-1.5 weeks after I submitted my application. The interview is conducted through Google meets and you are asked to show your throughout process on a white board on Coderbyte.

Question 1
How would you design a bracket to connect from an antenna to the satellite base? It was pretty similar to other questions that are listed here but worded and asked differently.
