Entretien
Applied in July 2019 and got phone screened by the hiring manager in early Oct. I was then invited to a in-person interview with 5 senior -level executives in late Oct. This was scheduled to be 1:1 interviews abut the 3rd interview went a little long because they insisted we go to lunch and interview while we dined and there were long lines. In any case, the 4th and 5th interviews got combined and the interview atmosphere was quite awkward since I could tell the dynamic between the 2 folks was not quite at par. They were uncomfortable seating next to and listening to each other (later realized that one was the boss of the other). Nevertheless they peppered me with all sorts of skill-based qstns centered on their Values and Behaviors which I (thought) had prepared for. I never did hear back from them even after following up; not even a rejection email or a response to my thank you note. Quite strange.

What situations have you been entrepreneurial in your current/previous role?
All the AZ recruiters follow the same playbook. They contact you in about two weeks time after applying. Then about another two weeks to schedule time to chat with the hiring manager. Then they make you prep and give a presentation for a Director level role with several folks on the call. This is giving free advice to the team on a topic of their choosing. Meanwhile they already have someone in mind internally. Many of the employees that are still working there have been there comfortably for 20+ years and are certainly threatened by those with a higher degree interviewing with them. All the while you have AI scheduling and following up with a survey request to give feedback on the recruiter and then a second survey after you meet with the team. Then you don't hear back after 1-2 months and are ghosted to only receive that generic rejection letter. Do better AstraZeneca!

1. 15 minutos de entrevista con Talent Acquisition Manager de RRHH, conversación fluída con 3-4 preguntas simples para conocer el candidato
2. La semana siguiente, 30 minutos de entrevista con la hiring manager, con preguntas más puntuales sobre mi background que podrían alinearse con el rol, también información específica sobre las funciones y algunas preguntas técnicas.
