J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Asian Youth Center (San Gabriel, CA) en févr. 2014

      Entretien

I found this great opportunity on Craigslist, a job opening as a caseworker for an organization that helps at-risk and low-income youth in the San Gabriel community. I was excited about applying because I felt that I had a lot to offer this organization. I believe I received a call for an interview the next day. I was more than thrilled in receiving that call. The interview included the program manager (dressed very casual, punk styled hair and nose ring) and the HR coordinator ( more professional look). The interview went well and I was emailed to get my background check. Had to wait close to three months for a call back once my background cleared. They asked me to come in for a second interview. Interview was with the same program manager and another program manager who was also interested in interviewing me. I was so sure I was going to get the job. The program manager told me that I was going to receive a call from the HR coordinator the next day. She said not Friday because they were closed that day. She also explained the rest of the hiring process. She said once I receive the call I needed to fill out more paperwork, get a drug test, get a form from DMV..and so on. So I was ecstatic, finally waited 3 months and I got it. Well my dreams were shattered when I received an email from HR letting me know that they looked at my application and found other candidates that were better qualified. Well I guess my masters in education and credential wouldn't benefit the program. Unfortunately, there was no offer. Had to email HR with a complaint on their hiring process and on being mislead in thinking I was going to get hired. They were nice and replied...but no job. I really wanted to work for them. Atmosphere was very welcoming.
