A significant time waster !!! The CEO contacted me on LinkedIn, and after a phone discussion about my profile, he invited me for an in-person interview at the office. I traveled from Ghaziabad to Gurugram for this. I hold a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering with 2 years of experience in both a Big 4 consulting firm and a SaaS product-based company. The interviewer, from some Raju Bhaiya University, seem to preapre for GATE ECE since last 4-5 years and unable to clear, started asking me Electronics and Communication technical concepts for a role of BA in a fintech company to me who has 2 years of experience in IT. Instead of assessing my relevant skills and experience, the focus was totally on unrelated technical concepts. This interview, unfortunately, turned out to be a significant time-waster, especially considering the extensive travel involved. I would caution future candidates to be prepared for potential misalignments between the interview process and the actual requirements of the role.
