I applied for an internship here and made it to the final round. The recruiter pressured me to quickly schedule the interview, despite scheduling constraints on my end, but I obliged as, of course, I felt this would be a step in the right direction. The interview went well and I was told I would hear back soon.
After a month, the company never reached out. I finally sent an email to the recruiter, who very dryly informed me the position had been filled.
While failing to maintain communication with candidates at any stage is simply unprofessional and disrespectful, doing so after you place significant pressure on a candidate to immediately take another interview, particularly after providing very little transparency throughout the process, only to never reach out to them regarding the outcome is simply offensive. I carved out and devoted time to your company and wasn’t even repaid the decency of a template rejection email.
To me, this speaks volumes about the type of company Article operates as and the type of people it employs.
