Did multiple FAANG/Leetcode style coding interviews. Did well on all of them. At the end they had me come in and... do more coding interviews, just this time on their computer, plus some general questions. After making me go through many, many steps, they rejected me because of one answer I gave to a co-founder of the company: he didn't like that I said there wasn't any one task I completed during my previous job (which was just a 4-month internship) that I was most proud of. I just told him I was happy with the work I did and completing the project I was assigned to over the course of the internship, but that wasn't good enough. He said if there's not one thing I'm most proud of, I might as well not have worked at all. Can you imagine saying something like that to a blue-collar worker? "Yeah, if you don't have one really big mess you're most proud of cleaning up, you may as well not have been a janitor at all." The guy was just generally full of himself, and bragged about his company and his accomplishments during the interview. It's been four months since I was rejected, and they still haven't filled the position. This company is a circus. 🤡
