      Entretien

I have taken time to reflect deeply before writing this feedback, but I believe it is important to share my experience candidly. I had one of the most disappointing and disheartening interview experiences with Aon. Have you ever been treated with such disregard and disrespect that you are left wondering why? That is exactly how I felt. I applied for a position at Aon because I met—and even exceeded—the listed qualifications. I hold extensive experience in the field and approached the process with genuine enthusiasm and commitment. I successfully completed the first interview with the recruiter, advanced through a panel interview with three managers, and was later invited to an in-person assessment followed by final discussions with a director. Everything went well; in fact, the director indicated that I should expect an offer the following week by Wednesday. However, to this day, I have not received any communication. Despite my respectful follow-ups with the managers I interviewed with, I have received no response. During the process, my recruiter was reassigned to another project, leaving me without a clear point of contact. I had no choice but to reach out directly to the hiring managers, but again—no reply. What makes this even more disappointing is that I forewent other interview opportunities and declined alternative offers because I trusted Aon’s process and verbal assurances that an offer was forthcoming. I made a professional and personal commitment to this opportunity based on that trust. This experience has been deeply discouraging, not just professionally but personally. During the interview period, I suffered a personal loss, yet I still persevered through each stage of the process. I even traveled abroad for a bereavement, returned shortly thereafter, and chose to complete the final stages of the interview instead of taking additional time to grieve with family. I did all this because I believed in the opportunity and in Aon’s professionalism and integrity. Now I can’t help but wonder—did this position truly exist? Why take a candidate through such a rigorous and emotionally draining process, express confidence in their abilities, promise to follow up within a week, and then simply go silent? This kind of treatment has made me seriously reevaluate my desire to remain in the corporate world—especially if such disregard can come from a globally respected organization. I have written at least three polite follow-up emails to different managers, yet none have been acknowledged. It is profoundly disappointing. I still hope to understand what happened, or at the very least, to receive the courtesy of a response. Fair and transparent hiring practices should not be optional—they are a reflection of an organization’s values. Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback!
