J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Antares IT Solutions (Maple Grove, MN) en juin 2019

      Entretien

From the start, the communication style from this company seemed... off. I still can't quite put my finger on it, but it was some kind of mix between overly formal and excessively controlling. They always made it clear in their emails just how ready and willing they were to cut candidates out of the application process for various reasons - red flag. They outlined a VERY specific order in which things could be discussed, such as pay requirements (which ultimately proved to be my departure point in the process) and job requirements. It was required that I agree to the listed pay rate prior to having a chance to speak with someone in person (where you would ordinarily get a better feel for the actual job demands and the work environment) - another red flag. I definitely got the impression that the mindset of this organization is that they are running the hottest place to work in the US with the most sought-after positions and don't you dare do anything to interrupt their finely-tuned, hyper-efficient hiring process. I ended up feeling that I was nothing more than a burden that would be resented, should I be hired. Another red flag is that the BBB (with which they are not accredited) has them listed as having been in business for 13 years, and yet you'll be hard-pressed to find any customer reviews, either positive or negative. There are a couple of employee reviews which are shining, for what that's worth. Other than that and their low-quality 1990's website, they don't appear to have much of an online presence. In the end, after applying, then doing a 30-40 minute phone interview, and then answering a few skill- and logic-based multiple choice questions (to include a few that resembled IQ test style questions) emailed to me in a pdf, I was offered an in-person interview, with a few possible dates and times. I responded to this, as well as the hiring manager's request for further clarification on my pay rate inquiries. About 3 hours later I was sent a curt email informing me their offer for an in-person interview has been withdrawn, and no explanation was initially given. Upon asking them what went wrong, I was told, in so many words, that I should have asked about the pay a few emails earlier in the process, and they're terminating the process so as to not waste their - and my - valuable time... Now, far be it from me to advise anyone not to pursue a job here. After all, if you need a paycheck, you need a paycheck. But I'm left wishing that I had, indeed, not allowed them to waste my time beyond that first flag-raising email I received from them.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

"We would like to confirm that you are still anticipating a start date of July 1st? Also, are there special pay considerations we need to make prior the office interview? We would just like clarification regarding our previous correspondence requesting our pay rate, since we didn’t see a response to our explanation."...
