STAY FAR AWAY. This was for an MBA Intern role (during the summer between my first and second MBA years), to join the innovation team. Pretty much an incubator where the MBA intern would play the role of a "product manager", and be assigned a team of engineers to ideate, build and deploy an MVP of some sort of cutting edge tech product to improve the beverage sales or distribution experience for AB Inbev customers and partners. It was a standard interview process (recruiter screen, hiring manager) until it came to the "panel interview". That was like nothing I had ever seen or been a part of before, and an incredibly terrible experience. This was during COVID times, so it was a Zoom interview. When I joined the Zoom, there were 10 other people in the room. Turns out, 9 of them were AB InBev innovation team employees (none of which had any impressive experience after introducing themselves), and the last person was another candidate for the role! No one told us this is how the interview would be conducted. It was a big surprise to the other candidate and me. For the next hour, they literally pitted us against each other and asked us the same questions back to back. Insanely weird, terrible and toxic experience. Since then, have you heard of AB Inbev doing any innovating? Lol, I thought not. Stay far away.
