A recruiter reached out and upon further discussion with the hiring manager, set me up with an initial interview.
After speaking with the hiring manager, I was tasked with a prompted writing sample before moving forward in the process. Upon review of that, I was then set up with interviews with multiple team members. For preparation, I was told to watch a 30-minute video and read a 100-page report prior to the interview.
Most interviews were <30 minutes, leaving barely any time for me to ask questions. I experienced unprofessional behavior by an interviewee, lots of red flags throughout the process, and a very clear masculine culture. After dedicating hours of my time to this process, I was told there was a specific trait they were looking for, which they could've identified from the start at the resume review process. Another example of a long, corporate interview process that just wastes candidates time.
