I applied online and then received a call from a recruiter. After a 20 minute casual interview with the recruiter I then spoke with my would be boss for a more detailed interview. There's a possibility that at this point in the process they are hoping to weed out those who are just looking for a job. I was not that person. In fact, I really wanted the position but after speaking with this gentleman I was no longer interested in the position simply because of his demeanor and attitude. Who wants to work with someone who has such disdain for his own position and sarcasm that goes on for days. I want to work with someone who instills passion and a desire to help people more than I already do. Not someone who is threatening and using scare tactics to try and get you to quit before you even get the job.

Imagine me dropping you off a helicopter in the middle of the Afghanistan desert with no camp, no supplies, and no one else to help you. Your mission is to set up camp, find and train volunteers to help you and help make everyone happy to be there. Do you think you can handle that?
You'll be expected to work 50-60 hour a week for $40,000/year. Will that work for you?

Entretien
Very rapid succession of virtual interviews. First with a manager, next with manager and three volunteers, and a final with an administrator, all within 10 days or so. During third interview, the administrator held the virtual interview while driving, never turning her camera on. In the middle of the interview, she not so discreetly hinted that she had already given her recommendation on which candidate to take the position. Was told HR would be reaching out to me in the coming days, and never received any further communication until I reached out to them.

I applied for this job opening a couple of weeks ago. I hoped to hear from them soon, but after 3 weeks, they haven't reached out to me at all. It is not encouring people to apply for jobs if you never hear anything back.

It was a fairly long process, with many interview steps. Helpful hiring personnel, but could have been a little different with COVID interviewing. Applied in July, interviews through August and September.
