J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez American Express en août 2024
Entretien
The initial interview was an hour+ call with a hiring manager. Unfortunately the process was not pleasant. The individual was off-camera and didn’t seem very interested.
The format was 50+ questions followed by a coding assessment that he had me complete on my own IDE. I answered the question correctly but it took unnecessary time to spin up a program and write down a question he read aloud.
The interview felt more like an interrogation than an interview. A question like “do you have experience with micro services” was followed by “name all the micro services you interacted with in your last project.” Most questions felt like he was trying to prove I was lying on my resume rather than evaluating my experience.
Finally, I asked about what he enjoys about working there. Stated the engineers were hard workers and often worked overtime on projects because their company is so important. This didn’t resonate with me at all. Hope the interview process improves for future candidates.
