Step One - received an email that American Express was interested in proceeding with interview. This email notification was received a day or two after I submitted my resume.
Step Two - had a video interview. The questionnaire was about 6 questions. Easy stuff, such as why did you apply & what are your long-term/short-term goals. Takes less than 20 minutes. I received a call from American Express a few days later stating they were interested in a phone interview with an in-house recruiter.
Step Three - had a lengthy phone interview, about 40 minutes. The recruiter asked questions related to customer service and required specific/detailed responses. She had to type my responses, which is why the call lasted so long. After the call, I felt their decision could go either way. The recruiter said she would forward my phone interview info over to the hiring managers, along with the other candidates. A few days lasted I received an email that they were going with other candidates.
Note - I interviewed in December and would have started my training (if hired) mid February. A little too long of a wait for me.

Process was long poor communication on scheduling led me to have a difficult time requesting time off at my then current job. Initial was a phone screening, then a group interview prep and finally a group interview.

Applied online on American Express Careers section I received a email saying that I was selected for a phone interview I set up phone interview for 3 days later the phone interview was thorough she asked a lot of questions Some were basic about my application and some STAR Format we spoke for about an hour and she informed me that she was moving me forward in the process and that the next step would be a Meet and Greet this was a panel type interview It was all virtual as this is a home based position but the meet and greet was me 5 other candidates and 4 interviewers The first part was a introduction every one takes turns introducing yourself and a quick intro about your experience after you go to a private interview with one of the interviewers there they will ask a ton of questions STAR format I don’t remember the questions and then we roll played this went well then I was sent back to the group call and was split with two other candidates to chat about the company and ask any questions we may have after that we were all told that we would hear something back within three days. About a week or so later I received a email saying that I was selected as a finalist for the position and I would be contacted in a few days to go over a few things I didn’t hear from him until 3 weeks after that email and he made an offer and sent all the info about schedule and equipment. It was tough but I enjoyed the process they only choose the best.
