The interview process started a with a first stage informal meeting on Teams with two of the team members. I felt really positive going into it and coming out, the interviewers made me feel really comfortable and were both really nice! The questions were mostly about my own experience and why I was interested in the role, I found the interview fine. At the end they explained they would get back to me and then going forward I would be sent a task to complete and then there would be a second stage interview after that. I had the first interview on the friday and a whole week goes by without any further communication which was a bit confusing. I then emailed the HR to ask if there had been any updates with my application on a friday afternoon just to see if I’d get a response at the end of the week. I then got an email quite quickly back explaining how I’d been unsuccessful and they’d decided to go with someone else with more experience (the most common feedback ever), with no personal feedback or anything. I was more confused about the fact that they said there would be a task and then another interview, this emailed indicated to me that they already made a hire?? I was more annoyed about the fact that I sent this email at the end of the week just to see if I’d get an update about my application and I think if i didn’t send that they would probably just ghost me!! One more thing is that the email response back literally had typos so a bit last minute really :(
