Recruiter Call: If your resume clears, a recruiter conducts a 30-45 minute phone screen to assess qualifications, discuss your background, evaluate fit with Amazon’s Leadership Principles, and talk about role expectations and compensation.
Online Assessments: Candidates for technical roles usually take coding tests on platforms like Codility or HackerRank, solving algorithm-focused problems within a time limit.
Phone Screens: This may include 1-2 technical interviews conducted remotely, covering coding, data structures, algorithms, and sometimes system design, along with behavioral questions.
The loop consists of 4–5 back-to-back interviews, each lasting 45–60 minutes. Your panel will typically include your potential hiring manager, 1–2 team members, a senior leader, and the Bar Raiser. Every interviewer is assigned 2–3 specific Leadership Principles to evaluate. Together, the panel covers all 16 principles across the loop.
