Recived a mail from HR and he asked to send the latest profile. I followed with him after few weeks and he said there a one QA manager opening and hiring manager is reviewng my profile. Next day he scheduled a call with Hiring manager(from seatle) and it went well. He asked very relavent questions about my job and few scenarios based questions. Was shortlisted for next telephonic interview, this time it was from a Bangalore office. Had my call at 7PM and some Tech support manager called me. First question was to write a c++ program to check if given number is prime. And he wanted me to read the code line by line and it should be bug free. After reading the code he asked me to optimize it and i did it to and he wanted to optimize it further which i couldnt. Next question was to write a shell script for finding student record from set of files from home directory. I said that can be done using awk and gave him the login. He said in amazon logic doest work he wants the working code. He was kind of arrogant and carried lot of attitude saying in amazon QA manager codes 3 days in week. Ya, funny why only 3 days. And if QA manager is coding what is Dev team doing? anyways after tht he gave a case for which to write test strategy.By then I was kind of annoyed and just answered the question.
He finished the iview and an hr later HR replied saying I wasnt shortlisted. Ya.. I knew it anyways...

I got an email from recruiter and then scheduled an interview for the role. Pretty straight forward. Interviewer arrived 10 mins late apologized and asked me 2 behavioral questions . If you are planning for the interview practice a lots of behavioral questions. I did not do well. However, Towards then end i asked the interviewer what are you doing to make sure people are taken care of specially now with COVID. I was not satisfied with the answer. It seemed like i asked him something which they never ever discussed ( Management in my last company spent significant time trying to come up with ideas to support employees through these tough times.), I am sure working for amazon would be satisfying but i don't think they really care for their employees.

Entretien
First round - 45 mins
The process went as follows:
1. Interviewer joined.
2. Interviewer did not introduce himself neither he allowed me to.
3. Interview starts.. The interviewer tells that you have to answer to the point. Don't try to goof up. (Candidates may get scared when you hear that :) )
4. 5-6 scenario-based questions asked one after the other as if he had the checklist and that he had to complete that.
5. Allowed to me talk for some-time to ask if there are any doubts.
6. After 2 days.. mail comes that I have been rejected :(
I have no idea on the evaluation what went wrong. Maybe I had the abilities but didn't fit in their principles.
