One phone interview with a senior technical recruiter. She wanted to gauge my interest in an advertised position. My CV received interest from a group, with whom my research has a huge overlap.
She was very friendly, and promptly responded to my emails. I have scheduled the technical interview and waiting on their confirmation email.

Question 1
The recruiter asked about my background in machine learning and why I am want to switch from academia (currently finalizing my PhD thesis) to the industry. Particularly, why at Amazon.
Applied for Amazon AGI. After first round, it will go into full round of multiple interviews. Lots of modern LLM training technic questions. There are still some behavioral questions, but less than general Amazon roles.
Interviewed with 1 phone screen, 1 coding, 2 ml design and 2 lp rounds. Most questions were non-leetcode questions more related to day to day ml implementations. The questions were very practical.
