J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Amazon (Seattle, WA) en nov. 2011
Entretien
Amazon (rightfully so) has a rigorous interview and hiring process. What's a bit unfortunate is that the interview itself is really only as good as the participants, and Amazon's formula of HR, Hiring Manager, Analytical Thinker, Peer and Complete Stranger to See How You Handle Ambiguity seems like its just interviewing for the sake of interviewing, rather than actually getting anything out of it (on either side).
Additionally - these folks are so disorganized it makes it seem like a miracle that anything got done at all.
My friends and family that work there say Amazon is a) great b) okay but they pay good (that's the range of their comments pretty much). But honestly I don't think I'd waste another entire day of my life interviewing with them. They couldn't even really answer *my* questions, and remember - interviewing is a 2-way street.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Name 3 things you would improve about the Amazon.com experience.
Very respectful. It was easy and I felt like they saw me as a person who was ready to jump in and make the company successful. I liked how they treated me. You should work for them!

Question 1
How have you handled disagreements with coworkers in the past?
Interview was great very friendly. I had a great time. Invite me back. Sometimes I wish I had a bit more time but overall a great experience for me and my family.

While the interview process felt like a nightmare for me since I don’t use data to quantify every piece of my life. All the people I interviewed with were very kind and I while I did not receive an offer they had the courtesy to deliver the news with a thoughtful phone call.
