      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Alteryx en avr. 2022

      Entretien

Process: 22 Apr, approached by the talent team (upfront about rewards and perks) 26 Apr, talent team screening video call (to brief about the business and technical background ) 4 May, hiring manager/team manager interview 10 May, catch up with talent team, informed me to the next round 12 May, received the demo use cases 17 May, prep call with the hiring manager 19 May, demo and presentation for 2 use cases with using Alteryx Designer (The demo has 2 uses cases which is quite interesting. I see this process is quite challenging whilst also satisfying, especially the moment sort out the solution. You will need some maths knowledge as well as data analytics knowledge. (data prep, sort, transform, data prediction modelling, etc) ) 26 May, talent team feedback, to the final round 31 May, final interview with MD 22 Jun, a final decision of "no" because the hiring/team manager has resigned. And they are changing the company strategy from on-prem to cloud based solution hence the JD posted is no longer valid. They will start a new round of hiring. People I met: The talent team has good listening skill and are responsive, most of the time even when in the US for business visit. The hiring manager is quite supportive and will do the prep call with you to ensure you are ready for the demo. The demo panel consist of one person from technical background and a account exec from business background doing a role play demo. The questions the panel asked are sort of challenging. You will need some sales knowledge. The MD in the final interview explains the company strategy in the near future and the type of person they are looking for. Overall experience: 80% of the interview process is quite pleasant, especially the user cases solving demo. And I think it's a good move for them to migrate to the software to the cloud otherwise cost per head/software on ROI is hard to justify. However, I may be the only one that they have to spent 2 months to finalise a "no" decision. The waiting period after the final round is too long hence quite frustrated, especially when I've been told all feedback are positive and the only who passed the final round. Writing this review simply to record the longest hiring process I've been, especially for a basic engineer/consultant position. Being someone who is not from data analytics background but still able to handle a new software to solve the matrix they gave and gone through the final round, I once saw this company was quite inclusive. However, the final stage was not clear. Hopefully my feedback can help other people who are interested in this position and the company.
