The interview process was a 30 minutes phone call with the recruiter and a 30 minute video conference with hiring manager. We had candid discussions about the state of the business, customers, professional experiences, and the individual contributors. I received positive feedback on professional experience, my interview responses, and the type of questions that I posed. At the end of the interview, I was told that I would advance to follow-up interviews with other team members. Hearing nothing for several days, I followed to learn that they selected another candidate. It seems fairly remarkable for any candidate to complete all the announced interview steps in such a short time. This might have been a situation where the desired candidate was selected in advance of the formal job post.
