Entretien
I was referred by an ex-colleague who out me in touch with a recruiter in the States. After forwarding on my CV the recruiter promptly reached out for an initial telephone screen. This was very biographical in nature and consisted of me verbally summarising the information on my CV and then describing my expectations. This went well and I was then put in touch with the local team in London.
I initially had an onsite interviews with the local HR Business Partner which was more focused on how I would fit in culturally. There were no trick questions and the questions were open ended prompting me to provide a lot of context with my answers. On the same day I also interviewed with the SVP of EMEA Sales. This was an open dialogue and focused on my sales approach and methodologies. Again there were no trick questions and it gave us both a chance to really analyse each other. This first round of interviews took about an hour.
I then came in for another interview with the manager of the team I would potentially be joining. This consisted of another biographical summary and a product demonstration which took 15 minutes. To help prep for the demonstration, the recruiter put me in touch with a current employee which helped me greatly.
Finally I took an online aptitude test with a 3rd party to assess my approach to sales. This was quite difficult and I would suggest doing this in a quiet environment where you can apply maximum focus.
As all stages were successful I was then provided with an offer. As Alteryx offer a very competitive package there was little negotiating from my side.
All in all the interview process was a pleasant experience!
