Went through a 5-stage interview process with AlphaSights. I disclosed my salary expectations in the first interview, yet only at the fifth stage (coffee chat with the team head) was it mentioned that the role runs 8:30–18:30 daily (~50 hours/week) and that WFH Fridays are generally not allowed.
When I asked whether the salary could be adjusted to reflect the hours, I was told to wait as they had other final interviews. Two weeks later I was rejected.
Poor transparency about working hours and compensation, and the process felt like a waste of time. The role is still being advertised 2 months later, which is also not a great sign for candidates looking for stability or work-life balance.
