Initial contact was via email arranging a interview with the product VP. The initial interview was a basic interview going through my cv and asking competency questions. It was a very postive and polite interview, with many applicants for I believe 1 position. I was told I was light on my IT skills and I would hear back at the end of this week, and so far no contact has been made; not looking hopeful.
Overall was a positive and relaxed experience.

Initial phone interview with behavioral questions. Mainly about past experiences/resume. Another phone interview with more finance questions/brainteasers.

Attended career fair and was initially put off by a newly minted analyst. She carried a sense of entitlement about her and was clearly my junior. When I indicated that I had significant life experience, she said Alliance Bernstein is not looking for that. Nevertheless, I was surprised when I was selected for an interview via on-campus recruiting. The position was in the TOP department and the job description was vague. After significant research I learned that it was simply a middle office tech-support position dressed up in fancy language. Interviewer was friendly. I was visibly nervous in the beginning but did well overall. The only suggestion I can give is to be specific about projects you have worked on that fit the position and know what you're talking about. They may throw a consulting type question in there to throw you off. He asked me a brainteaser which I happened to know the answer to. Yet, it is the thought process that they want to see, not necessarily the correct answer.
