J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 7 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Aleph Labs (Kuala Lumpur) en juil. 2025
Entretien
I applied for a UI/UX Designer position and initially had a smooth experience. I was contacted by a recruiter and completed the first-round interview successfully. I was then given a design challenge, which I spent significant time on and submitted within the deadline.
A second interview with the Chief of Product was scheduled for July 31, 2025. I waited in the call room at the scheduled time, only to learn that the interview had been cancelled on the spot due to the interviewer taking emergency leave. While I understand that emergencies happen, what followed was unacceptable.
I received no follow-up, no rescheduling, and no feedback despite following up myself about two weeks later. I was told vaguely, “We’ll get back to you.” But I never heard anything again.
Then, on September 5, 2025, I was contacted by a different HR person for the same role, as if I had never been through any of the previous processes. When I asked about my past application, I was casually told that the hiring manager had rejected my profile at the last minute.
Advice to Others Applying:
Be cautious about investing significant time unless you receive clear signals of commitment. Document your communication and follow up proactively, as you may not receive updates otherwise.

The interview process was swift. I had to go through the HR, The Hiring Manager and the Director. No design assessment was given to me. During the process, I just walked through my projects and my design process.

Question 1
Q: Can you walk me through your design process on a project?
Interview by the lead designer about your design and technical skills for about 30 mins to 1 hour. The interviewer is quite friendly. It's okay to be nervous but always be confident in presenting your portfolio and justifying your ideas.
