I received a call from Albertson's in the late evening. Unfortunately, I missed it. I called back early that morning and spoke to the store manager, who managed to squeeze me in for an interview. I arrived five minutes early, and was escorted to the break room while I waited for the interviewer to meet with me. When he arrived, I introduced myself and we walked into his office where he asked me a series of questions. Friendliness, focus on customer service, and a good attitude will get you the job. Because I had previous food service experience, he asked if I was interested in working in the deli. I indicated I would not mind. After about ten minutes of questions, the manager said he was impressed with my interview and offered me the job, which I accepted. Although the interview was a good experience, the job was the complete opposite. It all depends on which department you get put in.
