My interview with Payroll Manager was one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve had. She came late, didn’t acknowledge it, and carried herself with a dismissive and judgmental attitude. From the start, it felt like she wasn’t interested in me or what I could contribute, and her smirk made the situation uncomfortable and discouraging.
Instead of having a fair and constructive conversation, she interrupted, brushed off my answers, and showed little respect for the interview process. The discussion felt unproductive and demoralizing. Leaders should set an example of respect and openness, but what I experienced was the complete opposite.
No role is worth pursuing if the leadership creates an environment of belittling rather than growth. Sometimes the most valuable part of an interview is realizing where not to put your skills, time, and energy, and for me, this was one of those times
