I got a 1st round interview from the jobs website of my university. I got a call back after 2 weeks for a on-site interview. The interview process consists of dinner with the hiring manager and then a full day of interviews which starts with a 1 hour technical presentation, if you are a PhD student. Most of the hiring managers are very intelligent and they seek a high focus on the big picture and how the technology development can impact the bottom line of the company as a whole. Out of the 5 interviews that i had I got very good feedback from 4 and 1 very negative feedback from the technical interview. The feedback I got was that i should have focused more on the technical aspects with people who are more interested in the technical aspects. Overall a very good interview experience.

I passed the 1st on campus interview. Then it took <2 weeks for them to invite me on-site. The interview team was very friendly and genuinely interested in knowing my background and skills. I did not get the job probably because they wanted someone with both modeling and experimental background but my thesis work was purely experimental. But it took only a week for them to reach the decision. And I'm glad they are very responsive.
