Really laid back, phone call first then meeting with RDO then a phone meeting with head RDO. Very simple process and clear communication the whole time. I've had much worse interviews with large companies as well. Everyone has been so nice so far.

      Entretien

I have been trying to get a job with this company for a couple of years now, and this interview process caused me quite a bit of anxiety. I will explain. I've applied for a couple different GM roles with the company, and never once have I gotten an interview with them. I constantly would log into their talent/recruiting site and update my profile/resume. I researched who worked in the recruiters office and tried to reach out to them via LinkedIn. I never heard anything back until I was able to find two current Regional Ops Managers to give me personal recommendations. I then spent exactly 30 days going through 2 interviews and back and forth, waiting, waiting, waiting. I felt like they were keeping me on the back burner in case the person they were actually interested in fell through. Turns out I was halfway right. I was promised a follow up on 3 different dates, and each time they got busy and did not get back to me. I was 100% convinced that they had moved on. Then they called me and said the position was filled, but in return they offered me a position at another property that needed a GM. They knew I was disappointed, but I was surprised when they offered me a salary far above the market average for the size of hotel they were offering. They even agreed on additional benefits that I was trying to negotiate. So I felt like they wanted to keep me in their team, and for the long run, even though it was not with the original property I had applied for. I happily accepted! They had me start even though a background check had not yet been completed, and the offer letter stated the job was contingent upon me passing the background check.
