I applied through the job post in Agoda page for the Data Analyst position in Bangkok, Thailand. I reached "Meet your Recruiter" step.

My experience with the recruiter was somewhat unpleasant. I felt that the recruiter was not focused when he was asking his questions. He didn't have eye contact, and he was looking up all the time. This made me feel that he was not interested in the interview. The questions were very basic, and I felt that I provided enough value in my answers for me to proceed on the next step of the application process. I'm not sure how the recruiter assessed me based on his questions because, again, the questions were very basic which made me think that the "Meet your Recruiter" was just for formality. In my head, I thought that technical questions will be asked in the Interview 1 step. However, it's the other side of the story. I didn't pass the recruiter's assessment, and I didn't receive any specifics regarding his judgement.
I was hoping that Agoda has full of competent people in the Talent Aquisition Team being a large tech company.

The interview process was structured and data-focused. It started with an Alooba assessment, followed by a recruiter screening. After that, candidates go through multiple technical interviews.
The Alooba test evaluates analytical thinking, including chart interpretation, statistics, and basic SQL/logic. It’s important to manage time well and stay accurate.
The technical interviews focus less on memorization and more on problem-solving and business thinking. Expect a mix of SQL questions, case-style problems (e.g., conversion drop, campaign performance), and discussions around data-driven decision-making. Interviewers are interested in how you structure your approach, not just the final answer.

cold apply and got interview in one week, but hr canceled one night before first schedule, so got into second time schedule, it was pleasant talk and general behavior question, asking about past experience in team work
