The initial interview with the hiring manager was over the phone. What was supposed to be a 30 minute interview ended up being over an hour long. This was a good sign because the conversation got very engaging. The on-site interview was more of a traditional, behavioral, panel interview with very structured questions. It lasted about 4 hours. There were no puzzle or riddle questions like estimating the number of golf balls that can fit in an airplane. All questions were job specific and very professionally conducted. I was asked to come in again the following week to meet with a couple more people for one-on-one interviews. Overall, a very gratifying experience that resulted in an offer.
