The process was well organized and the steps clearly communicated. It consisted on an initial screening with the recruiter, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. After that, a design review meeting with another manager to work together on designing a suggested system/app. These were all remote sessions. That’s where my process stoped but if moving forward, my understanding is that next would be a face to face meeting in California head quarter.

Recruiter screen, the recruiter emailed confirming a time and called me 15m earlier than the agreed time. She got right into the call without asking if it was still a good time to chat, I could clearly tell that she wasn’t experienced. She asked me if I knew about Affirm and I mentioned that I do and that I’d known about them a while and have been interested in the company. She proceeded to ask me about my career after which she told me about the role and we both agreed it was a good match. I asked a few questions and she said that she would follow up after a chat with the hiring manager. The call concluded in 15m. This was the quickest recruiter screen I’ve had and didn’t even feel like she was trying. Next day I got an email that they are going with other candidates. Just ridiculous.

Tell me about your management experience and how many people you manage
