The application process had bad vibes right from the start. I had two interviews, the first with two people one of whom didn't speak at all and the other wasn't able to ask any real interview questions. I ended that interview thinking "there's no way they can assess my application from that interview because they didn't ask any good questions". To add on: they were also more than 5 minutes late to the interview and didn't leave any time at the end for me to ask any questions which just left a sour taste in my mouth. I found out the same day that I was selected to proceed to the next round which was a little bit better in terms of interview quality but in general I would say these "managers" at Adyen can truly benefit from interview training. After this second interview, the recruiter took a long time getting back to me and frankly wasn't someone with the right people skills for a recruiter role - super unhelpful and rude at times. She said the team was very enthusiastic about me but when I mentioned I have another offer on the table so can we move quickly in the process she took her time to get back to me with an eventual "no" without any explanation so far. To summarize my impression of Adyen based on the interview process: disorganized, bad communication and in dire need of understanding how to interview and talk to people in a recruitment process.
