ADVIS is a small, fabless, sensor startup in upstate NY so finding IC designer talent is difficult to come by for several reasons. Firstly, locally-developed talent typically wants to move out of the area after graduating. Secondly, most IC design jobs are in CA, TX, MA, or NC. Therefore, the hiring process is very incestuous with talent moving from one local company to another. Therefore, most talent is debunked by referal or one's own connections.
