I was told I needed to go through another hiring manager interview because the previous team had already hired someone with low quotient (lq), so I had the same interview twice and was still rejected.

The interview process was decent. The recruiter interview was pretty standard. Mostly related to my background and she explained the process well. She also mentioned the coding part is going to be practical/pair-programming style and I don't have to practice any DSA-style questions. However, in the interview with the hiring manager, he threw a curveball at me. I was asked a sliding window problem to implement. Also the interview was supposed to be 40-45 min and the implementation task started after 30 min which I believe wasn't sufficient esp as I wasn't expecting it. They should improve inter-team coordination. No point in an element of surprise.

There was a conversation with the hiring manager about my experience.
Following that interview, there was supposed to be a technical interview where I would be asked to implement code.
And another interview with the department manager.
