Acadsoc wasted my time as they took my interview then gave me a date for training. I attended the training on skype and they gave me a date for demo and told me that i can start as soon as i pass my demo.. i gave the demo despite the change of teaching material in the first 5 mins of the class hence it was a completely unprepared lesson but i passed it. After a week of no activity ..when i asked my supervisor that when can i start. She told me that i need to give a demo again as i am a native English Speaker(which i am not) and need to score accordingly. I told them that i am a non native speaker but if u want to take my demo u may.
they set a date for me for redemo and just an before my demo they cancelled it saying that i was not trained for the teaching tool.
gave me a date for training again...i took the training... gave me time for redemo. i prepared my lesson and confirmed with the trainer that it was the same lesson that i should teach .The lesson went amazing and i taught according to their format unlike my 1st demo where everything was haphazard. You want to know what happened next!!??? well, they failed me in redemo stating that i have a strong accent, have a problem with my professionalism and have an internet connection problem so i should get a LAN in order to give the demo again.
Acadsoc told us that we should have 3mbps download speed, well i had 10 mbps. there was nothing about a LAN connection.
Smooth and Efficient process was provided. A well detailed job posting. They are very responsive. Much excited to be part of the team. I always wanted to be part of the teaching industry and hopefully they will give the chance to be part of it.

Basically you fill out an application and then get an email to schedule a time for an interview. Then the interviewer will ask you to provide answers on skype text. Then you’ll video chat for the interview. In the interview, they’ll ask about where you’re from and experience.
This is where I started having a bad outlook. The interviewer was rude, and was talking to me in a demeaning way. The website says you don’t need experience to teach but the interviewer told me I needed professional experience tutoring adults, even though I had experience teaching kids. I also have my TESOL. He c however pointed out small things that are easily fished, such as my headphones not having extendable mic and that my background was “too plain.” Website says nothing about this. I talked to other people working for them, they were hired spot on, no degree nor experience. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not white or that guy was in a bad mood, but I’m severely angered by how unprofessional the interviewer acted. He kept grunting in response randomly and never let me finish my sentences.
