It was a telephone interview. The situation with telephone interviews is that they are tricky because they can catch you off guard and in a moment when you aren't mentally prepared to be interrogated. I answered the phone and the person spoke very fast so I initially thought it was a telemarketer and didn't really get the full information of where they were calling from and what position. This made the interview slightly harder because there were no context clues that gave me any indications of which job listing it was. I was able to answer the questions because they were mostly technically based questions about skills that I possess. I had applied to so many positions with no call back that this one got lost in the mix so I think that that was part of the reason that I didn't get the second interview.
